Itinerary
Day 1
EL CALAFATE Private transfer to your hotel. Check in, meet your guide for a briefing. Afternoon run along the shores of Lago Argentino and Laguna Nimes. Welcome dinner.
Day 2
PERITO MORENO GLACIER Morning boat ride and admire the glacier from the water, the mountains and the coihue trees. Optional hike on the glacier (subject to participants’ age). Explore the walkways to view the glacier from another angle. Late afternoon drive to El Chaltén.
Day 3
PIEDRA DEL FRAILE AND POLLONE GLACIER Start your trek by the Río Electrico and follow the Trail up to Piedra del Fraile refuge, and continue to the Pollone Glacier, walking into the prevailing winds that flow from the Continental Ice field. Evening hot meal at the refuge.
Day 4
TREK TO LAGUNA DE LOS TRES Return to the Río Eléctrico, Vieo the Piedras Blancas glacier, continue to Poincenot campsite. Take the steep path up to Laguna de los Tres and take a close up view of the Fitz Roy Mountain. Return to El Chaltén via Capri Lagoon.
Day 5
LAGUNA TORRE AND CERRO TORRE Depart on a flat trail through the beautiful lenga forests past the lagoons Madre, Hija and Nieta. Trek or run through the glacial valley to the Laguna Torre from where we have a perfect view of the Torre Mountain. Return to El Chaltén.
Day 6
GLACIAR CAGLIERO Early morning hike up to Laguna del Diablo walking under tres and crossing glacial rivers. Continue up to the Glacier using a Via Ferrata. Climb on to the ice and go further up the mountain. Return to El Chaltén for a final evening in Patagonia.
Day 7
EL CALAFATE Morning transfer to the airport or by land to Torres del Paine in Chile.
